The Team:
The successful candidate will be joining a newly formed team responsible for revamping applications across the fund. This is an elite Microsoft team within the fund that consists of technical visionary and strategist. This team is committed to isolating and solving the unique needs of internal and external users, and has been tasked with investing in strengthening the funds technical competencies.

A recent hire, The chief technical architect of the team has spent over two and a half decades in the world of technology with leading blue-chip companies and has been at the forefront of C#.NET managed systems and involved in WPF/Silverlight/Surface/Windows7 since their earliest alpha builds. As such, the capacity for an experienced developer to continue learning is second to none.

Project:
One of the several up and coming Greenfield projects is the complete revamp of C# GUI application used by the Equity derivatives desk for price/trade booking. The plan is to build touch screen screens using C#. NET WPF/Silverlight. More details will be provided before submission, but in short this is a 100% Greenfield project.

Requirements:
Surprisingly, previous Finance knowledge is not a perquisite for this role. It is widely accepted by this fund that if you are a talented technologist then the business logic can be easily learnt. Furthermore, with experienced financed professional in place the team is well placed to provide support and training for a talented non-banking candidate. However, it is important that applicants have the below experience. Please apply to the role ONLY if you have the below experience:

Essential:
Experience of C# Winform (ideally 3.5, but will consider those with only 2.0)
Some commercial exposure using WPF
Knowledge of concurrent and parallel computing
Design Patterns
Solid threading and concurrency strategies
Exposure to in a high-performance, highly scalable application

Nice to have:
Exposure to Functional programming (Erlang, Haskell, F# etc.)
Silverlight
Agile
